Japan (日本 Nihon?) is a country in the Real World and the Real World location for a large portion of the franchise.

In Digimon Adventure: Our War Game!, Japan is the home of a group of children who witness the battle against Diaboromon.[1]

Chiba[]

Chiba (千葉市 Chiba-shi?) is the capital city of Chiba Prefecture.

In Digimon Adventure 02: Digimon Hurricane Landing!!/Transcendent Evolution!! The Golden Digimentals, Davis Motomiya, DemiVeemon, Yolei Inoue, Upamon, Cody Hida, and Poromon are at a beach in Chiba[2] when they receive an e-mail from Kari Kamiya asking for help.

Digimon Cram School[]

Digimon Cram School (デジモン塾 Dejimon Juku?) is a cram school in the manga published in the Bandai's Official "Digital Series" - Digimon Pendulum 2: Deep Savers. It is located in an unspecified city. Souichirou Dejimon is its principal.

In Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, when Ryota Takei asks Sakura Fujisaki which country Aiba has supposedly been to, she guesses Gunma, until Ryota reminds her Gunma is in Japan.

Hifumigaoka Peripheral Region[]

The Hifumigaoka Peripheral Region (ヒフミヶ丘周辺地域 Hifumigaoka Shūhen Chiiki?) is the main setting of Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters (3DS). It is a region that encompasses the four towns of Hifumigaoka, Yongendōri, Nikotamagawa, and Mihamakou, from west to east. The towns' names are derived from the numbers "one", "two", "three", and "four" after the order in which they appear in the game.

Hifumigaoka[]

Hifumigaoka (ヒフミヶ丘?) is a town in Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters (3DS). It is located at west of Yongendōri, and is the hometown of the Protagonist, Naoto, and Mio.

The city is divided into a North District (北地区 Kita-chiku?) and South District (南地区 Minami-chiku?). The North District has a water fountain, a gas station, and the Hifumigaoka Middle School, and is where the Protagonist lives. The South District has a phone shop.

Hifumigaoka Middle School[]

Hifumigaoka Middle School (ヒフミヶ丘中学校 Hifumigaoka Chūgakkou?) is a school in Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters (3DS). It is a three-store building, and has a terrace and an infirmary. It is the school the Protagonist, Naoto, Mio, and Yukari attend. Yukari attends cass 3-2 and spends a lot of time at the infirmary, which led to her bing known as the "Angel of the Infirmary".

The school's gym's AR-Field cointains the Cyber Arena, and as such, App Drivers go to it even in weekends. A Batterimon is at the infirmary's AR-Field.

Mihamakou[]

Mihamakou (ミハマ港?) is a town in Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters (3DS). It is a coastal town located at east of Nikotamagawa, and is where Ryouji and the Mihama Gang live. The city has a research center.

The Protagonist and Logimon go to Mihamakou to challenge the D Rank Master, Ryouji.

Nikotamagawa[]

Nikotamagawa (ニコタマ川?) is a town in Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters (3DS). It is located near a river, and is at east of Yongendōri and west of Mihamakou.

Nikotamagawa is where Wakaba lives. According to Yukari, Makoto started to spend time alone in Nikotamagawa after losing to Ouji. Later, the Protagonist and Onmon go to Nikotamagawa to challenge the F Rank Master, Wakaba, and meet Makoto, mistaking him for F Rank Master himself. Later, the Protagonist and Bootmon return to Nikotamagawa to challenge Makoto for an A Ranker Battle, after Yukari tells them he spends time there.

Yongendōri[]

Yongendōri (ヨンゲン通り?) is a town in Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters (3DS). It is located at east of Hifumigaoka and west of Nikotamagawa, and is the hometown of Kayo and Kagefumi. There is a mountain behind Kayo's house.

The Protagonist and Logimon chase Kayo to Yongendōri for their C Ranker Battle, after Ouji tells them where she lives. The two of them return to Yongendōri when Kayo informs them Kagefumi lives there.

Hikarigahama City[]

Hikarigahama (光ヶ浜?) is a fictional city featured in Digimon Beatbreak as the series's main setting.

Garando[]

Garando (伽藍堂 Garandō?) is a cafe run by Maki Kutsuwada. Yoshimura is a regular customer, and Glowing Dawn often visits in order to learn about bounties.

Hikarigahama East Shopping Street[]

Hikarigama East Shopping Street (光ヶ浜東商店街 Hikarigahama Higashi Shōtengai?) is an old shopping district. Its inhabitants follow a way of life forgotten by modern society and don't have Sapotamas.

The district is protected by the Panda-gumi led by Sasatake, with Pandamon being its main guardian. The Koala Kai tries to demolish the place along with the nearby areas in order to build a resort Half and Half until their defeat by Glowing Dawn and Pandamon. The Bond of Parent and Child

Nijishima Shopping Mall[]

Nijishima Shopping Mall (虹島ショッピングモール Nijishima Shoppingu Mōru?) is a shopping mall in Hikarigahama.

On his 30th birthday, the Bomber sends a bombing threat to the mall and demands the place not be evacuated. Glowing Dawn goes to the mall and run into the members of Tactics's Team Seven for the first time while looking for the Bomber and his BomberNanimon. Five Star Meeting

Nirinso Shelter[]

Nirinso Shelter (シェルターニリンソウ Sherutā Nirinsō?, lit. "Shelter Nirinso") is an abandoned radio observatory hidden within a forest in the mountains near Hikarigahama. It is used by Kyo Sawashiro and Yoshimura as a refuge the various In-Training Digimon they have rescued from Glowing Dawn's bounties.

Kyo initially keeps the location secret from his team, unwilling to make them accomplices, but his secret is revealed during the team's pursuit of a starving BlackGaogamon. After pacifying BlackGaogamon, the team agrees to assist with Kyo's project. Nirinso The Kinoko Gang eventually follows Glowing Dawn and finds the place, and tries to enact a revenge plan masterminded by RedVegiemon. After RedVegiemon's defeat, the Kinoko Gang becomes the Nirinso Defense Force. Little Courage

Shangri-La Egg Hikarigahama East[]

Shangri-La Egg Hikarigahama East (シャングリラエッグ光ヶ浜イースト Shanguri-Ra Eggu Hikarigahama Īsuto?) is one of the Shangri-La Eggs in Hikarigahama. It is where Makoto Kuonji was born. Utopia

Sunny Yamada, his wife, and their daughter Haruko Yamada lived in the Shangri-La Egg, and the girl went to the same school as Makoto. After Sunny was caught committing fraud, the Yamadas were expelled. Makoto also left after Chiropmon's birth. On May 2050, Sunny, Haruko, and Glowing Dawn all go to the Egg after the bounty for three GoldNumemon. World Union General Hospital[]

The World Union General Hospital (ワールドユニオン総合病院 Wārudo Yunion Sōgō Byōin?) is a medical institute run by the World Union. It is often used by patients relevant to the World Union, either victims of the Cold Heart ailment linked to the World Union's Sapotamas, Glowing Dawn or powerful figures directly linked to the World Union's illicit operations. The Cold Heart treatment wing was used by Tomoro's friend Hitomi Shinomiya, who was quickly cured due to Glowing Dawn's hard work Facing Mirrors and thereafter returns for regular checkups, Proof of Genius, and the team frequently visits the hospital to check on Tomoro's brother Asuka Tenma, who also suffers from the ailment. Shin'ichirou has Kentarou Kamon and Bun go there to fight him and his Deathmon, with Makoto Abe and two of his and Kentarou's classmates as spectators.

Kano Island (神生島 Kanō-jima?) was an island in Digimon Beatbreak where Chairman Wong ran a research facility that investigated Digimon and the conversion of human thoughts and emotions into energy.

On October 5, 2029, the island vanished in a large explosion caused by the fusion of many Digimon birthed by Wong's research. Junior, Ivy, and Teddy go there to set up their accounts.

Chamber Room[]

The Chamber Room (チェンバー・ルーム Chenbā Rūmu?) is where players have access to the Digital World.

Junior arrives at the Chamber Room and says his Account Name to the Operator. After that, he enters the Chamber Capsule, which closes when Ivy and Teddy arrive.

Street Corner[]

The Street Corner (まちかど Machikado?) is a street corner located in Kusanagi City.

Junior waits for Ivy and Teddy who are late to play Digimon Online. After they finally arrive, the three head to the MAGAMI Online Center.

Kyoto[]

Kyoto (京都市 Kyōto-shi?) is the capital of Kyoto Prefecture.

In Digimon Adventure, Kyoto is said to be protected by the four gods, A Chance Encounter and that its center is protected by the Heso-Ishi. The balance of all four directions in Kyoto is connected to the Harmonious Ones. Digimon Mystery File: Release The 1000 Year Seal!

Kyoto is also Toshiko's home, and is where she met Haruhiko Takenouchi, who was doing anthropological research in the city.
