digimon

Bukamon is a Lesser Digimon. Although it has an appearance which is thought to be the infancy of an aquatic dinosaur, it is a funny Digimon with movements as clever as the seahorse. However, the friendly personality it had as Pichimon has totally vanished, and it quickly flees if others approach. Its outer skin cannot yet bear the water pressure and low temperature of the deep sea, so the length of time it can dive to the deep sea is not long.[5]

Why can't Bukamon dive deep into the sea for long? toggle section
Bukamon cannot dive deep into the sea for long because it cannot withstand the pressure of the deep sea. Unlike Amphimon, which has a pressurized suit, Bukamon lacks such protection.

How does Bukamon's personality change from Pichimon? toggle section
Bukamon's personality changes from Pichimon as it matures from a Fresh to an In-Training Digimon. Pichimon is a basic Slime Digimon, while Bukamon is more advanced and ready to digivolve further to protect its partner. This evolution shows increased maturity and capability, demonstrated when Bukamon digivolves to Gomamon to shield Joe from danger.

What makes Bukamon's movements similar to a seahorse? toggle section
Bukamon moves like a seahorse by fleeing when others get close, similar to the cautious nature of seahorses. Its exodermis cannot handle deep-sea pressure or cold, restricting its diving ability, akin to seahorses living in shallower waters.
